Triangle to get Game Truck franchise

A company that combines the gaming center phenomenon with the food truck phenomenon is coming to the Triangle.

GameTruck offers an array of video games and gaming entertainment all in the convenience of a big RV that can be rented for birthdays, corporate events or other special occasions.

The company was founded in Tempe, Ariz., in 2006 and now has more than 40 franchises nationwide.

Cary residents Lizette and Eric Watko are behind the Triangle GameTruck, which will the company's first operation in North Carolina. Lizette Watko said she expects delivery of their truck in May and is already booking events. According to the company website, renting the truck costs between $275 and $325 for the first two hours and $85 to $95 for each additional hour, depending on the day of the week.
